Single Acting
A push type cylinder where air in back
of the piston pushes the piston rod
through the end of the cylinder. When
the air is exhausted, an enclosed spring
returns the piston rod to its normal posi-
tion.
Double Acting
A push and pull type cylinder where air
enters the cylinder from both ends to
Reverse Acting
A pull type cylinder where the piston
rod is normally extended through the
front of the cylinder.Air through the front
of the cylinder moves the piston rod to
the rear. When the air is exhausted an
enclosed spring returns the piston rod to
its normally extended position.
