POLYETHYLENE
Freelin-Wade offers a variety of colors in the most popular sizes of low-density polyethyl-
ene (LDPE) tubing. It is extruded to close tolerances (– .004") for use with instant push-in
and compression type fittings.** The high quality resin complies with FDA regulation
21CFR 177.1520 (c) 2.1 for food contact applications. All color dyes (EXCEPT RED) also
meet FDA criteria. Tasteless and odorless, PE tubing is known for its broad resistance to
many chemicals and solvents andits impermeability to moisture and gasses. Its average
flexibility, lightweight, and very economical cost make it one of the most popular low pres-
sure tubings.

**Barbed fittings are not recommended as they tend to stress crack PE tubing.
The working pressures for Polyethylene Tubing were calculated at 33% of the burst pressure (3 to 1 safety factor). The data was obtained in carefully controlled
