VORTEX NEEDLE COOLER
For more than 30 years, ITW Vortec has developed and patented Vortex Tubes with universal
applications and Vortex Tube Systems for specialized applications. Using no moving parts,
electricityorrefrigerants, our compressed air powered Vortex Tube Systems provide cold air for
spot cooling applications. Our new Model 609 Hot Air Gun provides heated air up to 250 F
(121 C).
Model 424 Adjustable Needle Cooler (Patent Pending)
When you need to stop heat build-up at the source, the new Model 610 Ad-
justable Cold Air Gun does the job more efficiently than any gun on the mar-
ket. Just turn Model 610 s control knob to obtain the cold airflow rate that
provides optimum efficiency for your application. With Vortec s Ad-
justable Cold Air Gun, you no longer have to settle for a fixed cold airflow
rate and temperature that may not be optimal for your application.
Our Adjustable Cold Air Gun converts filtered, factory air into a precise
stream of frigid air to cool plastics, metals, glass, hot melts, adhesives,
solders and mold tooling. It is ideal for a wide range of cold air machin-
ing applications to improve production rates, tool life and product finish
and for maintaining tighter tolerances in milling, drilling, turning and
grinding without partcontamination, mists or waste.

Model 609 Hot Air Gun
Our new Hot Air Gun harnesses the Vortex Tube s hot air to produce a stream of 250 F (121 C)
air for spot heating. Applications include pre and/or post heating of urethane, epoxy and acrylic
adhesives and substrates, evaporative drying of items cleaned with solvents, heating films,
warming parts and softening materials.
